I Fell Off My Yarn Diet! This Is The Reason Why!

This is what happened on my way home from work Friday by myself , I ran into a bad traffic jam, as I inched my way home I thought what I can do to kill some time and then I remembered the 40% off coupon from Micheal's in my wallet and the fact that I was originally going to stop off and pay a bill in the vicinity so I went to Michael's with the intention of just looking for a book I was interested in, Nicky Epstein's knitted flowers; something like that, well I wandered over to the clearance aisle, a pet peeve of mine when entering a store of any kind and low and behold what do I see, YARN! Yikes, I hit the pay load! Lionbrand's Colorwaves was on sale from $5.99 to $3.00 in about (4) different shades, well the yarn junkie that I am went into full mode and I bought (6) skeins not to mention some Caron I had my eyes on. I can't help myself, I suffer from YAS (Yarn Acquisition Syndrome) I know at least one other person that has it but not as badly as I do unless she is not telling me about her secret purchases. (Hmmm!) Is there anyone else out there that can relate?

I am new at this blogging so give me some time to get the hang of it. I have knitted quite a few things and will be submitting photos as soon as I get my office back together, after I have finished painting. I am currently working on a poncho for a 1yr. old girl and it's in Caron's Simply soft light yellow, very soft and cute; I will take a picture of it and let you see how I did' it is my own design in that I chose the stitch to use and decided on the style I wanted.

Flash your Stash, I missed out on that; I don't think I would have had enough time to get my stash together for the photo in time anyway, I have yarn hidden all over the house in boxes, lots of bags, bins and closets; if my husband only knew he would probably make me pay him a storage fee. (LOL) Thank God he doesn't go into the spare room! Whew! I can go on and on but I want to get back to my what......., you guessed it, knitting! Write back and let me know how I am doing from time to time.

Happy Knitting
YARNHIPPIE!
